Mitas to showcase TOURING FORCE sport touring tire at EICMA exhibition

Kranj, 30 October 2018 – Mitas, part of the Trelleborg Group, will launch its brand-new sport touring tire, TOURING FORCE, at the EICMA exhibition in Milan, Italy from 6 to 11 November on stand I73, hall 9.

Ksenija Bitenc, Director of Motorcycle Tires and Tubes, says: “We are proud to extend our radial range with the new sport touring tire TOURING FORCE. In recent years, we have gained valuable experience and knowledge from the in-house development of SPORT FORCE+ and TERRA FORCE-R radial tires. These high-performing products laid the foundations for entering a very demanding sport touring segment.”

Tread design, which was developed with virtual 3D technology, ends before the tire shoulder and ensures maximum contact patch at lean angles. The placement, direction and depth of grooves provide outstanding riding characteristics in different road and weather conditions.

With new Multi Compound Tread Technology (MCTT), the central part of the TOURING FORCE tire tread provides increased mileage, and the shoulder parts ensure excellent grip at extreme lean angles.

Special compounds have been developed to guarantee the best riding performance and perfect wear balance. The combination of tread design and MCTT results in maximum wet and dry road grip. High silica content and special additives not only ensure optimum grip at low temperatures and on wet surfaces, but they also reduce the migration of components from rubber to the tire’s surface during use, thereby assuring constant riding characteristics throughout the service life of a tire.

Mitas TOURING FORCE is designed to perform well on different types of sports touring motorcycles and is a good choice for riders who travel on longer trips with passengers and luggage, as well as for those who prefer more sportier and dynamic rides alone.

Mitas TOURING FORCE will be launched for sale in March 2019. Additional sizes will be progressively available throughout 2019.

Era ora che affiancassero alla sport force un prodotto meno sportivo e adatto ad un uso piu turistico, sicuramente sara bimescola, vedremo se qualcuno vorra provarlo

Si tratta di un multi mescola (forse bi mescola) con elevato contenuto di silice per adattarsi a fondi bagnati e freddi.

Me ne dessero un treno ora starei a posto per l'inverno. Le Michelin costano un botto e poi me le ritroverei già usate la stagione prossima e magari non mi entusiasmano sull'asciutto.
Se queste hanno il profilo delle sport force le preferirei. O se no ho in garage un treno di sport force a disposizione anche se sul bagnato (sulle strisce in particolare) sono un po' bastarde.

si sono comportate divinamente le tue mitas oggi

Si....sicuramente si sta in piedi benissimo senza problemi anche con le sport force...
Girava un video terroristico dove si vedeva un tipo che andando in discesa a moto dritta sul bagnato con le sport force a 5 km orari,scivolava da tutte le parti come se fosse sull’olio o sul ghiaccio....cagate ,ovviamente.
Io onestamente rispetto a tutte le altre gomme avute,grosse differenze non ne trovo quando la strada è sporca e scivolosa..
Se esageri scivoli,se usi la cognizione stai in piedi...come sempre.
Tutto sommato se lo si prende con lo spirito giusto e senza cagarsi in mano..è divertente farsi un giretto anche in quelle condizioni.
